frequently asked questions
What type of golf bag should I bring to camp?
Please bring the lightest bag possible. You will be expected to carry your bag throughout the entire camp. Please clean out your bag prior to camp so that it is as light as possible and only important items are in it.
Should I bring my pull cart?
Overall, you will carry your bag very little. While out on the course in the mornings and some evenings, you will be responsible for your bag. Sometimes your bag will be put on the instructor’s golf cart but this should not be expected every time. You will only walk a couple holes each morning and approximately 5-8 holes each evening. It is recommended to bring a push cart if an injury prevents you from carrying your bag or if you have never carried your bag.
Do I need golf shoes and a golf glove?
Yes, please bring at least 1 glove. Golf shoes are not mandatory but are recommended.
Do I need rain gear?
Raingear is usually not needed during camp because a limited amount of instruction would take place while it is raining. A lightweight rain jacket or a short sleeve rain jacket would be the best choice to bring due to the hot summer days. The jacket could also be worn in case of a cool summer morning.
Do I need additional clothing besides my golf clothing?
Please bring enough golf outfits for instruction each day. Additionally, you may want to change into shorts, t-shirts, sweats or other casual clothing after we return each evening from the golf course. You will spend very little time in non-golf clothing.
How many golf balls should I bring to camp?
The only time you will be using your own balls is during morning on course instruction, evening on course instruction and during the camp tournament on the last day of camp. 1 dozen balls should be enough for every level of player. Please do not overload your bag with balls. You have to carry it and our camp staff has to handle the bag throughout the week.
